Tom and Holly arrive at the front door at the same time, as they do nearly every morning of their lives: scrambling around looking for boots and shoes to wear. They leave the house, and walk together to her car, where they will go their separate ways to work.
“Have a nice day honey,” she says as they pull part, after a brief kiss goodbye.
“You too... Oh and by the way-“
She looks at him, smiling.
“You look beautiful today, and I love you so much.”
He turns and walks away immediately, knowing that she is still smiling.
This is an amazing piece of writing. I loved it.
