100 Words: The Rolls on the Strand

He got out the car with the look on his face of someone who is thinking “How can this happen to me?” As his brown suede shoes touched the tarmac of the Strand and he tried in vain to push the extremely heavy car out of the outside lane, we did nothing but stand
and watch. Some of us even took photos. Yes we could have, probably should have helped, but I suppose that is the disadvantage of braking down in a brand new convertible Rolls Royce on the Strand in London: nobody is going to offer you a push.

  1. Not even after taking a picture? Nah. Someone is going to want to be able to say see this guy and his Rolls? I helped push it!

  2. That's rough, Dicky, though I suppose if he could afford to get himself into that situation, he can afford to get himself out of it. I'm silently laughing.
