As I type this blog post it's 11 am on a Saturday morning in April. I'm sitting out in our back garden at the small square, wooden table we were given for free. I say wooden; its fake, but will do for now. For the first time this year we have hung the washing out on
the line to be dried by the weak sun. Spring for us, means many things. The start of the BBQ season and eating outdoors. Late evening walks around the lake as it stays lighter for so much longer, and not having to dry our washing at the launderette over the weekend!
I have brought Mr. Miyagi (our Bonsai Tree) out onto the decking with me for some extra daylight. He looks a little worn after our long winter. I think it may have been the mild spell of weather we had around Christmas and New Year. It got so mild that Mr. Miyagi started to grow his leaves which was probably a bit too early in the year. The weather then turned unseasonably cold for another three months reducing him to bare branches all over again. I do hope he recovers.

So I'll sit here for a bit, reading some of the blogs I love to visit, while the Chaffinch sings his song and the sun warms my face.
